CREATING YOUR OWN GIFT WRAP PAPER WITH SPOONFLOWER

November 8, 2018 • Julie Saffrin • 1 Comment

In September, 2018, I, along with four fabulous women, hosted a bridal shower for a friend’s future daughter-in-law, Sarah.

During the opening of her presents, the bride received one wrapped in paper we all loved. It was gift wrap that held repeated images of the bride and groom.

The bride’s mom had had it created in England.

I loved the idea and wondered if I could find a place in the U. S. to do the same thing.

Yup, at Spoonflower.

I wanted to create an random, off-kilter black-and-white polka dot image so it could be used for anyone and one that could go with any color of ribbon. Once I’d done that, I uploaded it on to Spoonflower and ordered myself a roll of gift paper.

I just received it and am really happy with how it turned out. The black is black and the white is a true white. (The pictures are showing a more muted or matted black. Not the case. What I uploaded as true black and true white really did turn out as true colors. So it’s just the photographer.)

Give it a try. It is super fun to do! You can also create fabric – which I ordered a sample of the black and white polka dots I’d created and, :-), I have work to do to figure this out!

I do think, as well,  that Zazzle let’s you create your own gift paper. Have you tried this with any success? I’d be curious to know!
